This Strawberry Syrup is good on so many things - from pancakes to ice cream and even as a drink mix-in! Make it while the strawberries are in season!

Perfect for pancakes, ice cream, or as a drink mix-in, this Strawberry Syrup recipe tastes sweet and fresh and is perfect all summer long.

From a topping for pancakes to the flavoring in Strawberry Cream Floats to a topping for ice cream, you’ll find that this Strawberry Syrup will become a family

 staple all strawberry season long!

We’ve been making this strawberry syrup for years. The minute the strawberries start to get sweet and juicy, I start making this recipe to keep on hand. We love it – especially how versatile it is!

Back when I first started making this syrup, we had the best strawberry bushes that gave us strawberries all summer long. I’ll have more of those bushes one day, but for now, I will buy up all of the strawberries once the good ones come around.

Our favorite way to use this strawberry syrup is on pancakes, but really, it’s good on anything. And it keeps well in the refrigerator, so there is no excuse to not have it on hand all summer long!

ingredients needed to make strawberry syrup

Ingredients

All you need are 3 ingredients!

  • Strawberries: The more ripe and sweet the strawberries are, the better!
  • Sugar: Yes, there is a lot of sugar. But this is a syrup, and all that sugar is needed to sweeten and thicken the syrup.
  • Lemon Juice: Use fresh lemon juice for the best results.
